Possible Dark reference? The question is not where but when....

Good questions, the screen should turn off after a few minutes. It turned on because charging just started but once the car went to sleep (and continued to charge) the screen would be off.

The screen will remain off unless something happens with charging (starts, stops) or something triggers Sentry Mode and a message is displayed onscreen.

All Tesla vandalism footage I've seen is either damage to the outside or breaking the rear window to access the trunk and none have tried to take the large screen. I suppose someone could try and remove it but I believe it's solidly connected to the main computer that the removal process would make the screen useless. The screen is attached pretty securely and expect it to be more complicated than removing a video cable from the rear.

Fair remarks. There is a staple beneath the receptacle box but it looks to be hidden by the black wire from the mobile charger. I left myself some wire under the box to move the receptacle in to place.

As for the additional screws...that's a part of the trouble I had with the box install. The 4" box sits too far back on the stud and the faceplate wouldn't sit flush. Then there were only two holes that lined up from the faceplate to the 4" box that I could screw in to.

The breaker and cabling went pretty well but the receptacle box is brutal. The breaker is off and on the next trip I'll be prepared to fix it up and mount it properly...but that will be a 2020 task.

I don't mean to "reddit handyman" your work, but you should probably pin that cable to the wall and add the extra 2 screws to the faceplate.

I love that this photo is taken from outside the car, yet the screen is on. Does it stay lit? Would it charge faster if it was dark? Does the screen being on attract thieves? I mean, it's OBVIOUSLY a Tesla. Could they even fence the screen?

I believe the past few Tacomas had 20% in the rear (stock tinting for some trucks/SUV's) but I don't want to flirt with illegal tinting too much. Looking at photos online of tint percentage is tricky and even in person the value can look different depending on light, background, etc. I don't want to black out the car but also want some privacy so good to have another supporter of tinting in the 30's.

I misinterpreted the numbers inverted. My wagon also has 30% rear. Best choice ever.

Agreed, this is a pretty big highlight of the year.

Dolphins seem to make photos better but I don't think a pod will be springing out of the trunk anytime soon.
