    The toy factor is very high. If it wasn't for Airmiles we wouldn't have bought it. For the cost of them brand new ($300+) I would rather save that and do vacuuming myself. This unit lives in the basement and does a surprisingly good job of picking up cat litter, cardboard from cat scratchers, and general dirt. We run it 1-2 times a week and the dust bin is always full. It's cleaning more regularly than I would downstairs and it's doing a more thorough job of it too (although I'm not vacuuming for an hour downstairs either).

    We let it run upstairs the other weekend and went to town cleaning the cat hair and dust under the beds, which isn't an area I get to when I do my routine. Upstairs is multi-leveled so not as convenient, whereas downstairs is fair game and a lot of square footage for it to cover.

    It's handy, it won't replace our other vacuum but it does help keep the area that is usually dirtied by cats a bit cleaner and more pleasant to walk around.
