Who knew there was a southbound and northbound trail? We ended up hiking the wrong direction and instead of getting closer to Manarola we hiked up to Santuario di Nostra Signora di Montenero. It was a very hard 1.5KM hike up to the church, and with Jenna's shoulder injury I loaded up the 70L bag with more weight. This was a great view of Riomaggiore but this was a very hard two hour hike in the wrong direction.
