1,708km later the rental car is returned home. Thankfully our Yaris had 126,000km of wear and tear on it already so the times I got too close to the hedge and shrubbery on the shoulder shouldn't be too noticeable. We woke up at 5am (Irish Standard Time) and by 9pm (Mountain Standard Time) we were in bed, which made this a very long and disorientating 23 hours.
