The downstairs bathroom door is the bane of my existence. After sanding and painting the door it began to stick on other areas of the frame (likely due to higher humidity in the house). The door was stuck so badly a piece of the door panel chipped off while trying to open it.
I removed the door again, gave the door another sanding on the edge, reseated the hinge brackets and now the hinges weren't lining up?! I brought out the angle grinder and took <1mm off of two areas of the hinge and everything is working splendidly again.
I will repaint the sanded areas of the door, look for further sticking points and maybe, hopefully, attach the latch and handle back on so the door can be closed properly.
