The hot hot heat impacted our ability to be outdoors as much as we wanted this long weekend so Saturday we decided to make a short drive and explore the Riverside Nature Trail. There weren't many views of the North Saskatchewan river but we did find a sandbar to enjoy our bagged lunch and carry on the hike, otherwise the scenic views were few and far between but it was still pleasant to be outside.
