Stupid Short Bench - We were short on numbers but had enough to make two complete lines. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo because as soon as I dragged myself to the bench I was breathing like a mad man trying to get ready for the next shift. The Dragons lost. We held on as best as we could but lost it in the third period.

- Saturday 31 May 2014 09:55The Mustard Tigers recently suffered a short bench (11 skaters) and we turned it into an opportunity to find new chemistry with different lines. The proof was in the pudding with a 4-2 victory. Best of luck next time!

- Monday 2 June 2014 12:58I find those short benched games to be a great bonding experience too. There have been some memorable games where the tired Dragons took down a larger opponent and those stand out as some fun games. There's a silver lining to games like that, but when you lose it's hard to find much joy in it.
