Open Ice - Tanner and I made a field trip to Ardrossan Rec Center for some shinny. We wanted to work on some drills and figured Ardrossan would be quiet on a Thursday morning, and we were right. There was only one other guy there for the duration so we had half a sheet of ice to ourselves, which was a nice change compared to the last time we did this in September and had kids everywhere.

- Saturday 1 December 2018 14:43No kidding, for a fairly small population it has a really nice complex. The adult admission cost was cheaper than Millennium Place ($7 vs. $9.75) and for it being a quick drive out of town it was worth it.
I'm always amazed at how nice 'new' rinks can be and when you have a big dressing room or your locker room connects right to the bench I'm impressed.
