They Evolved. They Rebelled. - After nearly four years of faithful service our Nest Thermostat is causing a headache. The click wheel is no longer responsive and it also slowly increases the temperature up by 0.5 every few minutes because it believes it registers action on the non functioning dial. The Nest is out of warranty and the faulty part can't be purchased either. With lingering Black Friday discounts, a 20% Loyalty Voucher from Nest and an Alberta Energy rebate there is $217 in savings on a new Thermostat so at least the inconvenience of replacing it isn't too expensive.
