Tight Fit - The new laptop is USB-C everything so I bought a multi-port adapter to help the transition. It's worked good so far, except the SD card doesn't fit in the appropriate slot. This was a product shot I sent the manufacturer asking for assistance, and never have I wrote "doesn't fit" and "too tight" more times in a professional setting.

- Wednesday 28 November 2018 17:10It's pretty stupid, but thankfully I don't need to plug in an older USB device that frequently. For the weekly occasion I do, it is super annoying. The fact I can't plug in my iPhone 6S directly to the laptop without an expensive Lightning to USB-C cable (and third party cables are only coming in 2019) means I need to hook up the docking station to plug in my phone, which is the opposite of "it just works".
USB-C seems pretty rad (it can do display, internet, charging, etc.) but forcing it as an "all or nothing" option on laptops isn't customer friendly.
You don't get to be a #BillionDollarCompany by making friends you do it by forcing a loyal customer base to buy expensive dongles, cables and show #Courage. -
