Work Area - Our new floor features tight quarters and the opportunity for it to be crowded. Thankfully it's rarely busy and not as disruptive as we all anticipated.

- Saturday 27 January 2018 07:42Moo indeed. I guess the decision looked good from a Real Estate perspective and trying to reduce costs. Why rent out two floors that are partially used when one floor could suffice?
There's a lot of usability problems with this layout too. If it is ever half full the place will be a disaster. Even a few people can create a lot of noise.
There is no absorption so a few conversations can be heard from one side to the other.
The standing desks face each other so you will be eye to eye if you are situated opposite someone. The standing desks should be interspersed around the stations, but...naw, they are all on the 'end' by the hallway so people feel forced to greet you or make eye contact.
