Problem Found - Our new washer and dryer was delivered today. During our second full load of laundry we noticed the washer cycle didn't complete. I checked the outlet and heard a buzzing sound and thought to replace it. The wiring was aluminum and had evidence of arcing. Our previous washer wasn't faulty, it was just our outlet! I replaced the outlet and pigtailed a new connection and the washer resumed its cycle.
Due to an unrelated issue we received a discount on our new appliances so even though we didn't need them now at least the reduction helps soften the blow.
