Day trip to Marmot Basin was good, but challenging. In addition to temps in the -15 range 30% of the hill is still closed and what was opened was riddled with minimal coverage and hazards. A few centimetres of fresh snow overnight resulted in some playful powder runs but you had to battle rocks and sketchy hard pack to get it. On the plus side, the temperatures and conditions meant the hill was super quiet. I never waited for a lift and always had a chair to myself. In 21 runs I covered 42KM of distance and had 8381m of vertical.

The lift in the distance is the new Knob quad chair, which was scheduled to open in December, but it's been delayed because of weather. When that lift runs and that terrain is accessible it'll be a treat.
