After reading Blood, Sweat & Chrome: The Wild and True Story of Mad Max: Fury Road last month my desire to rewatch Fury Road sky rocketed.
However I had to do it right and over the last few days I watched all Mad Max movies that came before Fury Road. Mad Max (1979) was rough, while Road Warrior (1981) was surprisingly decent. Beyond Thunderdome (1985) was the only one I saw before and I didn't remember any of it, and now I wish I could forget the "lost kids" plot because that brought the whole movie down.
I watched Fury Road as part of a movie night with friends tonight and the movie is still amazing and I can appreciate it even more knowing the history and struggles George Miller went through to get it made.
