We drove out to Canmore and did the Grassi Lake loop. It was surprisingly beautiful (we shouldn't doubt the mountains). After we went to Barrier Lake and had our lunch. We ended up doing a poorly marked Forestry Ecology Loop. The trail was hardly maintained, plenty of deadfall and was a bit of a letdown. Back at our Airbnb with drinks on the deck I had a bird land on my head so the day had its moments.
