Nearly eleven years of muscle memory reaching for the leftmost tap on the kitchen faucet is now a continual embarrassment. I find myself reaching for the 'hot' water and grasping at air, maybe even trying to grab again, before I realize the tap is now on the other side. One day this phantom tab grasp will stop, but until it does it will cause me to shake my head and utter a silent curse.
